Is Luminar better than lightroom, and is it even worth it to buy Luminar NEO? Let the battle begin...

If you're anything like me, you enjoy taking more photos rather than spending more time editing photos. 

The good news for us is that software companies are constantly racing to see who can deliver the most up-to-date technology to help us edit our photos.

I recently started looking into Luminar NEO. Luminar caught my attention because of their boastful claims that their ai (artificial intelligence) editing tools can speed up editing PLUS make professional photos.

Sold. 

However, the question still remained; was I going to regret buying Luminar because I was so used to editing in Lightroom and Photoshop? 

Now, I didn't need to compare the two on cost because Luminar is cheaper coming in at $9.08 per month with the photography plan for Adobe costing $9.99. Even the 90 cents makes a difference to me. You also have to option to make the one-time purchase for Luminar NEO for $119 if you hate monthly payments like many of us do.

Now... how would Luminar perform?

I decided to record all of my findings. I tested Luminar on speed, quality, and value. Here's what I came up with: 

Whether or not you already use one software or another to edit your photos, I believe it's a good idea to use multiple.

Sometimes a different layout or tools can jar some creativity loose and you come away with a better photo.
